We believe the healing of body, mind and spirit is accomplished with the help of caring people.

Why We Exist

Our Story

We are a non-profit, non-denominational, faith-based counseling center that offers behavioral health services and education for individuals, families, and community organizations.

Dr. Whit Fraser, a local physician and a pioneer in holistic health care for Liberty county, had a dream of providing affordable, whole-person care for all, regardless of social standing, race, gender, or ability to pay.

The Mary Lou Fraser Foundation for Families, Inc. was established in 1986 in memory of his late wife, Mary Lou. The Fraser Center and the Liberty County YMCA are the present-day manifestations of Dr. Fraser's vision.

Our Mission

We believe the healing of body, mind and spirit is accomplished with the help of caring people. Our mission is to enrich the lives of all who come to us-individuals and families-by providing professional counseling, community education and emotional support within a Christian environment.

Our Vision

The vision of the Fraser Center is to be the premier leader in providing behavioral health services - inspiring healing and hope to all who come to us.
