Deborah Sawyer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults - individuals and couples. She has a Master of Social Work Degree from Savannah State University. Having worked with various populations for over 30 years, Deborah has a wide range of clinical experiences. In addition to private practice, Deborah has worked within hospital and hospice settings and the Department of Family and Children Services.
Deborah utilizes a broad range of therapeutic modalities in working with her clients. Her approach is open, non-judgmental and focuses on strengths and empowerment. Deborah views challenges as opportunities to promote further self-growth. Her primary therapeutic interventions include Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused approaches.
Deborah finds reward in working with clients to help promote their growth. She is most passionate about creating a value-free environment for her clients to enhance their ability towards overcoming their challenges. Deborah is aware of the importance of self-determination and individuality and encourages honesty and authenticity with her clients.
Additionally, Deborah is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
