The Fraser Counseling Center is pleased to offer a state-approved defensive driving course. Georgia's Department of Driver Services (DDS) regulates the defensive driving schools in the state, and state law allows drivers to take one defensive driving course every five years to receive a point reduction.

There are many benefits for drivers who enroll in defensive driving courses, including:

LOWER INSURANCE PREMIUMS

A defensive driving class could lower your insurance premium. Each insurance company offers different rates based on your driving record and defensive courses taken, so check with your agency directly to determine their policy.

TICKET DISMISSAL AND POINTS REDUCTION

Defensive driving course completion can lead to a ticket dismissal or points reduction in some cases. However, the court oversees these cases and will take into consideration each driver’s conviction and record when making a determination.

Registration and Course Information

The cost to participate is $95.00 cash or money order at or before registration.

8:30 am Registration, Class time is 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, primarily on Saturdays.
