Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor – Part Time 

The Mary Lou Fraser Foundation for Families, Inc. Is a non-profit foundation supporting the Fraser Counseling Center and Helen’s Haven Children’s Advocacy Center.  The Fraser Counseling Center is a non-profit, private outpatient counseling center founded in 1986 to provide the members of the community in and around Hinesville and Ft. Stewart with behavioral health services.   The Fraser Counseling Center’s clinical staff includes Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists.

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor at our center in Hinesville, GA.  The Counselor is responsible for gathering data through assessment to make recommendations for the appropriate ASAM level of care, documenting problems and establishing course of treatment. The position provides direct treatment services to adult and adolescent clients and family members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties that are assigned:
Completing assessments, progress notes and other necessary paperwork associated with managing a caseload of up to 15 clients.
Providing individual and group counseling using Evidence-Based Practices.
Assisting patients with defining and achieving realistic goals.
Conducting urinalysis screenings.
Providing crisis interventions as needed.
Assisting in peer-to-peer record audits.
Ensuring patient confidentiality.
Contributing to the ongoing assessment and treatment planning process through participation in supervision, case reviews, and treatment team meetings.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The most qualified candidates will possess the following:

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required.
Must be certified in addiction counseling with one of the following certifications:

CADC, Level I (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Level I)
CADC II, Level II (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II, Level II)
CAADC (Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor)
CAC I (Certified Addiction Counselor I)
CAC II (Certified Addiction Counselor II)
MAC (Master Addiction Counselor)
National Certified Addiction Counselor, Level I (NCAC I)
National Certified Addiction Counselor, Level II (NCAC II)
Candidate must be willing to work evening hours 1 or 2 days a week until 7:30PM.
